Azul Peacock Bass
The azul peacock bass is named for the blue fins on the adult body – fins are just silver on the juvenile body. The body itself is brown with black bands and the azul peacock bass grows to thirty inches – though probably two feet in the aquarium. Azul bass are hardy but need room to swim and good aeration, like all peacock bass. The azul is native to Brazil, though all in the aquarium trade are bred in Indonesia.
