Mylochromis ericotaenia “Itungi”
Lake Malawi has some remarkable cichlids and one of the most colorful is the Mylochromis. These African cichlids have a blue and rainbow color with black stripes and grow to eight inches. Due to their size they require a large aquarium and will be peaceful with other African cichlids. The females are slight smaller than the males, growing to just six inches. The cichlid is very adaptable and thrives on cichlid sticks. The Mylochromis likes to scavenge during its free time by digging in sandy substrates – who doesn’t.
