Otocinclus Algae Eater
Otocinclus, or oto, are small, hardy, peaceful, and very active in the aquarium. These fish are great scavengers and do a nice job controlling film algae. In fact these are the most popular wild species for algae control and will get along with any fish that can’t eat it, including exotic shrimp. AFS recommends a small school of these fish for any community tank. You will be amazed by their work ethic.
