Striped Raphael Catfish
Striped raphael catfish have a rough hide and white lines along the length of the dark body. The raphael catfish are part of a family of talking catfish from Peru. Talking catfish make grunting noises when stressed, and if you want to hear it just catch one in a net. Please remember that stress is harmful and should be minimized for any creature! Raphael catfish are caught small slow streams feeding tributaries of the Amazon. These fish are gentle pet fish the scavenge at night and will not harm other fish. However, catfish will accidentally swallow small tankmates. The lined pattern is a little more common than the spotted pattern.
