Red Tiger Motaguense
The Red Tiger Motaguense is a Central American cichlid not often found in the Aquarium trade. Also called the “false yellowjacket cichlid”, this is one of the rare species where the female has more color, though less size, than the male. Red tigers have beautiful red and yellow and black markings that stand out when they are ready to mate. These Central American cichlids are aggressive and grow to 12 inches, but the motaguense can be kept with species of similar temprament.
